Excellent for English-speaking students learning German. When practicing writing or learning new words, it's great to have a super-thorough reference. Over an entire semester, there have been only a couple times where I couldn't find a verb I was looking for (and had to google it).Each page is dedicated to a single verb and all of its cases/tenses. Additionally, select "essential" verbs are highlighted throughout the book. Those have the same case/tenses as the rest, but has an additional page with examples and details of how it's used. (I also recommend Barron's German-English dictionary, here: http://a.co/foAW3P3)
This is my second Barron's verb book. I already have this same publication for French verbs. In my language classes I find myself turning it several times during any particular study session. Every possible conjugation for 501 of the most commonly used verbs are in this book. Super useful reference - an absolute must have for learners. I'd like to note that it's unfair that the low reviews for this book are because people do not like how a Kindle presents it electronically. The book itself is still great, and Kindle's poor formatting is no fault of Barron.
This is a "must have" book for anyone who is seriously studying the German Language. I especially appreciate the highlight of 55 "Essential Verbs" that every German Student should know. Thus, you can/should start with 55 verbs; you don't need to jump right into all 501.
A MUST-HAVE for aspiring language-learners! Not only is it organized in a way your teacher or professor could never lay out for you, it's complete with a comprehensive grammar course in the beginning. I own the Spanish version, too, and nothing makes me feel better about my language skills than this amazing review.
Buy the book, the print version. Trying to look up verbs, scroll, etc. on the kindle is beyond frustrating. No clickable table of contents, etc...grew up with these books, an indispensable tool for the language learner!
I love this book and I find words I have hardly ever used ;) I really like that I can teach my students (beginners in German grades 2-6) to use this book, look up what they need and they find everything they need. Great price!
